Stephanie AndersonI am in the eighth grade at Sylvester Middle School in Seattle, Washington. I started to read the Tolkien books in sixth grade after seeing The Lord of the Rings movie. I wrote this book review for a class project. Other things that I like to do mainly involve the area where I live, like hiking on Mt. Rainier, boating in eastern Washington, and I also play the trumpet. The Tolkien books that I have read include: The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, The Children of Hurin, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and some random works. I am looking forward to The Hobbit movie (hopefully) coming soon.

My Harvard-educated mother read the first chapter (if that) and then quit. And to be honest, I only read the book to show my mom that I could read a book that she could not. I did not expect that it would become my favorite book.
