The stage is set in the year 2044. Bad guys from the future send back people they want to knock off so that the evidence of the hit will never be discovered. In other words, that whole ugly Jimmy Hoffa incident would have never been possible in 2074.
To discover true heroics which have already saved and need not avenge, one must simply look up. See beyond a soldier with the name of but one country and discover a God who unites us all. Oh, and don’t forget the popcorn.
The main takeaway might be something a wise person once said, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” The title Warrior probably has more to do with the struggle to let go of the past and embrace one another than it does with MMA fighting.
Throughout the course of the movie we encounter zombies, mermaids, the fountain of youth, kings, Spaniards and, oh yeah, pirates. I am not sure the contents of this film are any “stranger” than what we have seen before.
Aren’t there enough exorcism movies out there? This one is well acted and kept me mildly entertained. Whether you’re a Christian who believes in the events of this film, an atheist who doesn’t, or an agnostic who simply doesn’t know, it will at least make you think a bit.
