Aniston vs. Jolie
Can We Drop It?
Please?!

I’m sure you all have heard about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s engagement. A big question on everyone’s minds is how Jennifer Aniston is reacting to the news. As soon as Brad and Jennifer split, it has been a tabloid war. What I’m wondering is why we can’t just drop it already?

I don’t approve of the way that Brad left Jennifer, but from what I understand, things are cool between them now. They check up on each other every now and then and Jennifer seems to be the happiest she’s ever been with her boyfriend, Justin Theroux.

I’m sure that both parities have done and said things both in the media and personally that they regret, but, once again, Jennifer has said that she’s not at war with them and both Jennifer and Brad have said that they’re friends.

We may not approve of the way Brad and Angelina got together, but it’s time to move on. The past is the past and there’s nothing that we can do to change it. The best thing that we can do is to pray that they all find a relationship with the LORD and continue to be friendly toward one another.

Also, we need to remember that there are six beautiful children in the picture now. So, let’s all stop the finger pointing and the name calling for their sake. After all, they didn’t ask for any of this to happen.

So, congrats to Brand and Angie on the engagement! Also, congrats to Jen for finding love again!

You do realize,I hope that by commenting on this topic at all,you are adding that much more fuel to the fire.

My question is,” WHY IS THIS EVEN BEING DISCUSSED IN YOUR COLUMN?”

This is about movie reviews, with a spiritual angle.
Celebrity gossip of this sort we can get from ACCESS HOLLYWOOD,ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT,EXTRA, & TMZ.

In the future, leave this sort of thing to them,
and keep the focus where it belongs.
    On the movies.

I open the floor for rebuttals, because I KNOW YOU
    GOT SOMETHING TO SAY!!

Jeremy, Jeremy, Jeremy… those following your comments at HJ Live! might be confused into thinking you’re on the editorial staff instead of one of our readers!

    1. HJ is “pop culture from a spiritual point of view.”

    2. Pop culture most definitely includes celebrity obsession.

    3. Brock and DeArmond actually write a column here called “charActor Studies: A Blog About Stars We Love.” The idea is taking the gossip-column concept and trying to do something more constructive with it than what, say, TMZ would do. That’s part of the “spiritual point of view.”

    4. This post is part of that blog, and clearly labeled as such. Caveat emptor!

So I think we’re pretty clear what we’re doing here, and why. I’m sorry it gets so confusing for you!

  3. JEREMY

I still maintain that the heart and soul of this site is the media reviews rather than the celebrity news. It’s not
like Brad and Angelina and Jennifer,et al.,would actually
READ this column and take it seriously, but it’s good to let your vouce be heard nonetheless.

Might I suggest Brock & DeArmond START THEIR OWN WEBSITE
with the same spiritual celebrity viewpoints expressed here.

THAT would make a beautiful counterbalance to TMZ.

  4. Greg Wright

But… the column isn’t directed at Brade, Angelina, and Jennifer. It’s directed at celebrity gawkers who want to keep the hate and resentment rolling between people they don’t even know.

With one celebrity post each week against forty or fifty media reviews, yes — of course, the heart and soul of the site is the latter. But variety is nice.

And if this column were its own website… would you even have read it? Being part of HJ brings readership with it.

One site reviewer has talked about the “ridiculous amount of content” at HJ. There’s literally hours and hours of reading here each week… so pay attention to the areas you like!

I say everyone needs to get over the whole thing! We all know that Aniston is and always will be America’s choice over Jolie :) How can one resist that fresh-faced look of Aniston versus the skeletal not so innocent look of Jolie? Jen won, Brad lost no matter how it’s spun.
