Tom and Jerry: Around the World is the DVD containing twenty-two cartoons of our favorite cat and mouse duo. The DVD contains mostly recent cartoons, but there are some classic ones mixed in there too.
To be honest, I’m more of a Looney Tunes girl, but Tom and Jerry should always be held as a classic because they are honestly funny. Parents and their kids will get a kick out of watching these shows together.
One episode that stood out was “Martian Mice.” It dealt with Tom being mistaken for a chicken and being abducted by aliens. The true stars of that episode were the aliens because of how clueless they were. Even a twenty-five-year-old like me could find the humor in it.
The newer episodes seem to have more going on than the older episodes. So, I end up preferring those. Overall, all kinds of fans will love the DVD and will appreciate how they haven’t lost the spirit of the old series in the new one.
