July 25, 2012 - A true story about a mentally handicapped boy named Harlan. One day, neighborhood bullies were attacking Harlan when 16-year-old Paul jumped in and defended him. This unusual, yet divine meeting became the genesis for one of the most encouraging stories ever told.
A few days later, Paul was playing football with friends as Harlan watched. Paul invited him to play, despite the jokes from the others. Harlan went for a pass, sprinting past the others as if they were standing still.
Paul realized Harlan had a God-given gift and talked him into running track, teaching him to compete in the 100-yard dash. Paul faced ridicule from classmates for his association with “that lamo” and became insecure about teaching Harlan. Throughout the training process, Paul and others learned God’s love through Harlan.
Starring Nancy Stafford (“Christmas with a Capital C” and “Matlock”), Peter Kent (“Terminator” “True Lies” and “Total Recall”) directed by Greg Robbins (“C Me Dance”, “Stuck in the Past” and “Pastor Greg”).

We are having Greg and the boys (Gregory, AJ and Jon) come to St. Bartholomew’s next Sunday (August 19) to meet our congregation, show some clips, and enlighten some of us to the reality of bullying that is growing and spreading. Greg and the cast are great people and we pray that many will see this film, purchase the DVD and “get the word out” that bullying has got to stop.
Well done Greg - and all of the cast! We look forward to August 19 and beyond!
God Bless,
Fr. John Commins

Thanks for hosting an event at your church, Fr. John! Greg and ‘the boys’ do a wonderful job–and the film really opens eyes and touches hearts about this rampant problem of bullying. I feel very honored to have been part of it….

Thanks to all who supported this “little film that could”. We wrote it and got it to camera in record time, a miracle really and looking at on the screen, I can say that I am as proud of this work as anything I did back in the “Arnold days” It was a great pleasure to work with my old buddy Greg Robbins and also the fantastic cast. Let the message ring out!!

Race to the Finish is a beautiful movie that has a special message for EVERYONE who watches it. This priceless movie has been a tool that God has used in many different ways to incredibly touch me in very deep places. As a former teenager who had been bullied and abused, God has used the “forgiving and loving the bully through God’s love” message in Race to the Finish to confirm healing in some of those deep wounds from years past. As an adult who was just recently told by someone that no one likes me, God has used Race to the Finish to confirm in me that being so vastly different from others can actually be an incredible asset, which gives me the deep, inner security and unwavering peace of knowing that GOD has placed a talent in me that, when others make the effort to truly get to know my heart, they are able to cheer me on with understanding, love, and patience! As a parent and as a teacher, God has used the “loving others” message in this sweet movie to help me to continue to teach young people the value of seeing others through God’s eyes, and loving them through God’s heart! Truly, this gem of a movie has a special message for EVERYONE!

Race to the Finish is a movie sent by God in our culture, in which bullying is very common and very destructive. God will use it mightily for His Kingdom!

Race to the finish is an amazing film with a fabulous message. I believe this film is blessed because it can be used as a tremendous outreach to the mainstream world. I suggest that we all bring our friends family and unsaved loved ones to a film that can change their life.
