Well, after a full week of shooting our big star Danny Trejo (of Spy Kids, From Dusk Til Dawn, Con Air, etc. fame) finally came on set. When I met him, he was walking with his driver back to his trailer. Our executive producer said, “This is Matt, our co-producer on the project.” Danny shook my hand and said, “God bless you Matt.” There you have it: Danny Trejo has evoked the Almighty to bring blessing upon me. I had to have a great day.
At lunch, my executive producer (and they don’t usually spend much time on sets but we’re having so much fun, it’s hard not to be here) said, “Go sit with Danny.” I did and Danny told me that he had just gotten back from Europe on a shoot and he had also heard of fires in Southern California. When I asked Danny if we could shoot him for a behind the scenes video, he said with a wiley smile, “Can I be facing the camera? Hehehehehehe.” I smiled too and thought, this guy’s alright!
