If you have been reading this blog, you know that Danny Trejo of Spy Kids fame is in our movie The Bill Collector. Danny is a great guy in real life and a real character. Today, like all days, we start the day with prayer. Before we began, Danny said to us, “I have worked with larger crews but I haven’t worked with a better crew. You are all professional and passionate about what you do, and I love that.”
Today, Danny’s character Frankie Guittierez is fired upon in a drive by shooting. We had fake AK-47s out there, the permission and accompaniment of the Norfolk Police, and we also had a paint ball gun to provide hits that stirred up the dust. We were filming at a factory that miraculously shut down a few weeks ago. We loved the location from the start, but it was always too noisy because it was a working factory. Their loss is our gain. PTL!
