On Monday, Day 11, I and Props P.A., Evan Atwood, brought 8 live fish to the set to be included as scenery in our movie. They were to be the fish belonging to the Lump Sum head Stan Davenport. Before delivery and transfer, these fish were happily living and swimming at the home of Jeff and Leah Ryback. This couple is my gracious host while I am living and staying in Virginia Beach. They were kind enough to let us use their fish. Once on set, the director wanted bigger fish and so we brought Tim in, a fish wrangler and experienced aquarium hobbyist. Tim went to his favorite pet store and returned with sizable goldfish making the director and everyone happy.
Speaking of the director, Cris Krusen is a brilliant, humble Christian man, who has a real heart to make Christian film better and more diverse than it has previously been. Before each day, he likes to pray on set and he singles a few people out to give them praise. Today, he gave me shout-out and mentioned how I am willing to do any task large or small and that I have also recently survived major surgery (which is true. Ask me about it if you want to know more). I give a shout out now to Cris Krusen, who has been a great friend for a long time. I whole-heartedly applaud you and your vision Cris. Keep on keeping on!
