One of the most amazing things about working on The Bill Collector movie is the great quantity of all the free goods and services given to us. It’s almost like someone big is wanting to see this movie made. We have all of our catering provided for, a grip truck full of useful production gear, craft services (snacks), and volunteers aplenty.
Today, executive producer Doug Maddox, production assistant Mary Alice Williams and myself went over to Old Dominion University and met with Ateba Crocker and her PR/Marketing Class. They have decided to take on our film as a class project and are providing invaluable time, effort and brainpower to launching a grassroots marketing effort to generate early buzz on the movie. Soon, with their help, we’ll have our own website, logo, letterhead, and merchandise. Look for an official The Bill Collector money clip, mugs and hats at a story near you in Autumn 2009.
