Today I decided to try something a little different, I used some of the preset routines in the Wii Fit Plus Routines in the locker room of My Wii Fit Plus. These routines are broken down in categories such as “arms”, “figure”, “hips and legs”, “over indulgence” and so on. I choose to do some more aerobic activity, or so I hoped, and choose things such as “over indulgence”, “slimmer Mii”, “hips and legs” and so forth. To be honest, I wasn’t really expecting much from this routine, but it wasn’t so bad. Although doing things this way does incorporate more “games” than “exercises”, I got a very decent, very mild workout from it all. Along with several different kinds of squats, which was good, I also did some skateboarding and some cycling and other more “fun” activities. In the end my friendly Wii Balance board informed me that after my twenty-two minute workout I had burned about 111 calories, or the equivalent of one chocolate chip granola bar (at least this time I had something with chocolate in it). Since I was in a rush today, I didn’t take the time to do any extra exercises, but I did log that I played basketball for about twenty-minutes today which apparently was about 143 calories burned, that’s not bad. Am I making any overall progress? I think I need a bit more data before I can determine that.
