Reports published yesterday on all three of the major Narnia fan sites have fans wondering if Peter and Susan Pevensie will make a brief appearance in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the next installment of the Walden Media Chronicles of Narnia series.
While Peter and Susan are told in Prince Caspian they are now too old to return to Narnia, they are briefly mentioned at the very beginning of C S Lewis’s third-published Narnia novel, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Peter is spending the summer studying with the professor the Pevensies had lived with during The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Susan and the parents are making a trip to America.
Many fans have hoped to see at least a cameo appearance by Anna Popplewell and William Moseley, who portrayed Susan and Peter, in Dawn Treader. A report that Zak Morcillo was listed as a “stand in” for Peter on eCaster has many excited that this means we might get a brief glimpse of at least William Mosley again. (A “stand in” is used to set up camera shots while the actual actor is occupied elsewhere, and sometimes is used for far shots in the film.)
