Sound like a primetime series yet? Well, it reads like one. A really good, really morbid TV series.

Jason Franks obviously knows his material, as the Sixsmiths are a realistic Satanist family, but that is the first mistake. Humor requires exaggeration, and the Sixsmiths are too realistic and practical.

Just as the Adam West days of Batman are seen as absurd compared to the new Christian Bale stories, so must our vision of Bible stories evolve from the “Precious Moments” world of safe censorship to raw reality.

This debate over Free Will, where it begins and ends, is at the heart of Box 13. Every step of this winding tale, we’re trying to figure out what actions Dan is taking on his own, and what he is being manipulated into. Sit back and enjoy as the comic explores the many elements of control, from forceful and direct, to subtle and hidden.

Adam Wreck and the Kalosian Space Pirates is a fun and nostalgic sci-fi comic aimed at a younger audience. The story feels very “Lost in Space”, following the first human family as they venture into the great unknown of the universe. Michael Bracco has done a great job of creating a comic that will appeal to, but not patronize, younger readers.
